Deep Ecology Wellness Retreat
June 8, 2018 - June 10, 2018
$100 – $250
This weekend retreat will take place in beautiful southern Norway during the time of almost never setting sun and will last from Friday evening until Sunday after lunch. The retreat guides participants toward wellness and wholeness though rediscovering our inter-connectedness with nature. It includes a deep time walk on Saturday from the retreat center at The Goats’ Garden (www.thegoatsgarden.com) to the top of an ancient stone age fort location, past fields and along a geological rift, into the woods and through a beech forest, across old stone-age fortifications to the top of the promontory overlooking the valley toward the sea. During the weekend we will participate in nature connection, dance, story, song and meditations, and in reflections connected to the Work that Reconnects, a powerful practice that encourages us to develop gratitude, ‘honor our pain for the world’, ‘see with new eyes’, and ‘go forth’ with a vision of ‘the world we want for ourselves’. Facilitators: Katharine Burke, deep ecology practitioner, teacher and facilitator, and Martin Lee Mueller, eco-philosopher, teacher, story-teller and author of ‘Being Salmon, Being Human – Encountering the Wild in Us and Us in the Wild’
