Deep Time Walk App 1.2 update released

We’re celebrating World Environment Day, launching an updated version of the Deep Time App which includes an extended audio narrative and expanded screens support.

The Deep Time Walk App has been updated on iOS and Android with an extended audio narrative at the beginning of the walk and expanded screen support.

The new dramatic opening monologue of the Scientist character chimes with the multiple environmental crises we are facing as a species and the urgent and radical action needed to tackle climate breakdown. It provides an insight into why the Scientist character is invited on a Deep Time Walk. The powerful language was written by Peter Oswald and Stephan Harding and dramatised by Chipo Chung (who has appeared in productions such as Doctor Who, Sherlock, Casualty and Into the badlands). You can listen to a clip of the new opening on our SoundCloud page or, if you already have the app, you can download the update for free.

The second part of the Deep Time Walk 1.2 update is extended screen support for the newer devices on the market. In particular, it enables the full use of the extended screens in devices such as the iPhone X, XR and XS devices.
